Introduction

Welcome to SSSA03, Safety and Security in Situational Awareness Online Course.

Course Description

This course is required for travelers to Low Risk countries, as rated by the International SOS (ISOS) every two years. It is required for travelers to Medium Risk countries every two years after attending the SSSA02 classroom course. It is required for travelers to High Risk and Extreme Risk countries in the interim two year periods between SSSA02 courses. This course provides increased awareness to potential threats and events that could occur during international travel. Presentations are designed to increase situational awareness for individuals and teams as well as provide strategies that that can be employed to increase awareness and react to events and/or threats encountered while travelling.

Course Objectives

At the completion of this course, you will be able to:

• Identify Situational Awareness principles
• Describe how to maintain Situational Awareness
• Discuss how to prepare for traveling to foreign countries
• Identify smart security practices while on travel
• Define SNL foreign travel requirements
